LUNDS JOINERY

This kitchen was a collaboration between the client, an experienced renovator of character homes, and LJT.

The feature of the kitchen came about from a counter front that the client had rescued after the Canterbury earthquakes.

LJT took the damaged, and worn counter front and restored it, modifying it to fit the geometry of the new kitchen, and replacing, extending moldings in the process.

The counter front was then fixed to a solid timber island, with open slat fronts.

To further emphasize this element as a feature of the house, the remaining cabinetry was constructed from raised “shaker style”doors in a much lighter colour.
