Registered Master Joiners are registered members of The New Zealand Joinery Manufacturers Federation Inc

HEART DOMINANT PEOPLE

Members of Master Joiners include Joinery Manufacturers, National and Regional Associates who are suppliers to the industry, retired members and individuals who provide specific services a joinery manufacturer would usually provide. Members are located across the country within 10 regions.

CONNECT

Members engage with one another and suppliers to industry through regular meetings organised within each region. At these meetings, members knowledge share, engage in best practice standards learning and often hear speakers on contemporary relevant topics. The meetings usually include informal dinners and regional celebrations. Many regions hold their own regionalised awards programs.

ADVOCACY

The Federation advocates for and on behalf of members. This includes stakeholder relationships with Government, crown entities, training providers and industry affiliated organisations'. The Advocacy Strategy overseas the promotion of Master Joiner members, the profession and the branding, raising the profile of Master Joiners across a range of networks and media. The Master Joiner brand is a synergy with the brands of members.

PROGESSIVE EDUCATION DOMINANT PEOPLE

Master Joiners deliver an education strategy which includes the provision of a range of education opportunities to further develop the competencies of members in joinery and in business ownership. Education opportunities are promoted through the calendar year and include one day workshops and online webinars.

MASTER JOINERS ANNUAL CONFERENCE

Master Joiners attend the annual conference to learn, connect and grow their expertise, their business and their teams.

MASTER JOINERS ANNUAL EXCELLENCE AWARDS

The annual excellence awards runs each year. Members celebrate excellence in participating in the program and celebrating success at the annual excellence awards dinner held at the annual conference.

COMPLETE THE ONLINE APPLICATION FORM

You will receive a notification confirming your application has been received.

THE PROCESS

You will be contacted by the regional President to discuss your application..

APPROVAL

Once approved, you will be sent a new member pack along with your certificate of membership, code of ethics and access to a range of member services which includes access to the online members only forum, and work gear site. The regions secretary will send you invitations and notices for up and coming meetings. You will be encouraged to attend meetings and get to know members in your area.

Life Member - Peter Leith became a registered Master Joiner in 1987. During that time Peter has participated in training apprentices and served on the Executive Committee.

After declaring on a post-it note at the age of eight, that she wanted to follow in her fathers footsteps, Kristine Holmes has stepped up to support her parents succession plan. Kristine is the first female regional President for Master Joiners.
