A customer contacted us wanting to update their standard, paint finish flush doors, with an eye catching design constructed out of solid timber.
The custom front doors were made to match a clients grand vision.
Using Malaysian Kauri to match the existing frame and internal timber furniture.
The doors were constructed in our factory, sent to a painter for finishing, then hung into an existing frame on site.
The construction process started by producing two one panel kauri door leaves. We then drew out the pattern on the face of the leaves to work out where each moulding would start, finish and be mitred.
Then was the painstaking process of cutting each piece individually and fixing it to the leaves.
Accuracy was essential as a slight discrepancy would flow through the pattern and prevent the lines from meeting correctly and change the final look of the doors.
